Hi folks,
It’s fall alright, and here are some concerts where you can premier your new fall wardrobe!
Tonight is a mess! Our future boss (New York Phil’s future boss) is performing in Carnegie Hall with his current orchestra (LA Phil). Gustavo Dudamel is one of my favorite contemporary conductors, the program is ok, and also it’s Lang Lang on the keys. Definitely qualifies as a star studded performance.
Tonight, the NY Phil is also performing in David Geffen Hall. Beethoven 7th symphony and Brahms 1st piano concerto are just too good of a program, so that’s the one I’m going to.
Baroque music by a promising ensemble in a beautiful church.

UWSPhiladelphia Orchestra is in town, with our MetOpera music director, and they’re doing one of my favorite pieces. The Epic Third Symphony of Gustav Mahler. And it’s in Carnegie Hall.
October 15th / 8 PM
Carnegie HallOne of my favorite baroque concert series in the city. Music Before 1800 consistently imports interesting acts from Europe. This is no exception.
October 27 / 4:00pm
Corpus Christi Church

Here’s some stuff I’m doing:
Chopin & Champagne - my new concert series is what I like to define as easy going. Short, jargon-free, and a fun mix of known and and lesser known music. For the premiere of this concert series, Pianist Vladimir Rumyantsev will play a selection of Chopin’s masterpieces, paired with the equally timeless Moët & Chandon Champagne.
October 17th / 7:30 PM
Blue Gallery
MidtownMozart’s Requiem - I mean… Orchestra, choir, fog, candles, and Mozart’s most iconic work. Heads up: Tickets are flying off the shelves at unprecedented rates.
October 24th & 26th / 8 PM
Co-Cathedral of St Joseph
Prospect Heights
That’s it folks!
Daniel.
